Last Swajan's πΌπ£π£πͺππ‘ ππππ©πͺπ₯ was on 15ππ‘ π¨π πππππ¦πππ« 2024 at The Jangalpara BCKM High School, Jangalpara, Hooghly, W.B., India. On that day we had various games, cultural programmes, prize distribution and meet and greet to get to know each other and form a beautiful bond among the current students and former students. Light breakfast, tea and home cooked meals were provided. We all had a wonderful time and made a lot of memories to cherish. Some of the moments from the event are captured in the photos section.
Swajan Foundation celebrates India's Independence Day on August 15th each year.
August 7, 1941, Calcutta. On this day, a period of prolonged, agonizing illness ended with the death of Rabindranath Tagore at his Jorasanko home. The Bengali calendar read: 22 Shrabon, 1349. Every year, the 22nd day of Shrabon, irrespective of the Gregorian or βEnglishβ calendar, has therefore been a day of mourning in Bengal.

At the Swajan Foundationβs India complex we conduct all students meetup on the 1st Sunday of every month. We encourage every student to join us on that day so that we can keep a close contact with them, we have motivational talks by former students or external speakers and idea exchanges among students, volunteers and organizers. We also do informal social lunch, which creates an environment for formal bonding.
At the Swajan Foundationβs India complex we conduct all guardian meetups on the 2nd Sunday of the quarter. We encourage every guardian to join us on that day so that we can keep close contact with them and exchange ideas about how we can help the students better.
At the Swajan Foundationβs India complex we celebrate the Basanta Utsav. The festival of Holi is celebrated as BASANTA UTSAV in West Bengal. It is also celebrated to welcome the Spring season β the season of Hope. The Basanta Utsav means the βCelebration of Springβ.
At the Swajan Foundationβs India complex the current and former students organize the Saraswati Puja celebration annually.
We have get together / picnic event every year in late December preferably on Dec 25th. We invite Swajan's current students and their parents specifically their mothers, former students, volunteers and special guests such as teachers from the locality for this fun and joyful day.
